The nature of our products is handmade and not mass- produced so delivery times will vary depending on the item chosen. If we have stock we aim to despatch within two days by first class post or courier. If the item is being made to order or stock being replenished we aim to deliver as soon as possible. Please let us know before placing your order if you need items by a certain date and we can advise on delivery times. Many of the items are governed by the laws of nature and cannot be rushed. Sheep to shearing, spinning to yarn, knitting and weaving……
In the event that you place an order and a product is out of stock we will notify you of any delay and agree a dispatch time.
An item being made specifically for you for your order will have its own delivery time and you will be advised of this.
We offer free delivery within mainland UK except for fabric by the metre which is sent by courier and charged accordingly.
We will always get proof of postage on each package.
SPECIAL DELIVERY: If you wish to have your order sent by a different method: Next day delivery, Recorded delivery or Courier please email or call before placing your order so we can quote the correct cost.
OVERSEAS DELIVERY – BFPO, non-mainland UK and Overseas.
Postage is charged at cost plus a standard £2.50 packing charge per order.
Please email your order details before placing and paying so we can let you know the delivery charge. The weight and size of our products varies enormously and we don’t want to over or undercharge.
Note: All overseas deliveries are subject to local imports and duties, and may be affected by customs and excise delays. Please note that Damson & Slate cannot be liable for any import duties and taxes imposed.
RETURNS: We understand that no matter how fabulous an item is it may not be quite what you expected or wanted and we understand that. Please let us know by email or by phone within 28 days of receipt but the sooner the better! As the items in Damson & Slate are often unique or supply limited we request that if you are returning an item for whatever reason please let us know as soon as possible and we can let someone else know it is available.
In the event of goods being damaged on receipt, they should be returned for our inspection immediately. Under no circumstances must goods be used when damaged, as you will be deemed to have accepted them in their damaged condition. Before replacement goods or refunds can be issued, goods must be returned for our inspection and if necessary the goods may have to be returned to the maker for testing/investigation.
Please use the label provided by Damson & Slate to return the goods.
You will receive a receipt and a separate delivery and returns form with your goods. Please complete all the details on the returns form for each item you are returning including the reason for your return. Please give as many comments as you can. This feedback is very useful.
We strongly recommend you obtain a free 'Certificate of Posting' from the post office as we will not accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. For peace of mind you might want to send the goods Recorded Delivery but we regret we cannot refund this charge.
Postage fees will be reimbursed for justified damaged claims but post and shipping costs will not be refunded for non damaged goods

* If exchanging goods and the new item you require costs more than the one you returned an additional payment is needed.
